The band
Julian Brooks and The Church of Jade play post-punk indie rock and roll — edgy and different by design, but firmly rooted in the drive and muscle of rock ’n’ roll.
Fronted by Berkeley-raised singer, songwriter, and filmmaker Julian Brooks, the Oakland seven-piece channels post-punk tension, indie-rock urgency, and new-wave color into original songs and a commanding live set: lead vocals, two guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, and backing vocals. Seven players, one band.
They’ve built a dedicated following through performances across the Bay Area — and they’re just getting started.
